Kanye West back in the 80s

We all know Kanye West as a rapper and it’s hard to imagine him singing like a pop star from the 80s. His newest CD is called “808s and Heartbreak” and there he is trying to re-invent the 70s and 80s. Kanye said two weeks ago that he was the voice of this generation and his newest album will be completely different from anything else he released. He said hip hop is over for him because taking a sample, looping it and singing rap is such a cliche these days. He would like to be in the same sentence as Hendrix and the Beatles but we think he either has some mental issues or he needs to stop talking. If he’s that good his music will speak for itself, bragging won’t help him with anything. Kanye said:

I sing, not rap, on this album. I now want to be grouped among those musicians you see in those old black-and-white photos - the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles. And I’m not going to get there by doing just another rap album full of samples. I’ve had to create a whole new musical genre to describe what I’m doing now and I’m calling it ‘pop-art’ … which is not to be confused with the visual art movement.

Milla Jovovich will get married AGAIN!

The Resident Evil star will say “I do” for the 3rd time. Milla Jovovich got married with the one that directed “Resident Evil” and “Event Horizon”, Paul W.S. Anderson. They were together for a while and they became engaged in 2003 but later separated. After the short break they got together again and their first child, Ever Gabo Anderson, was born last year. Milla had two failed marriages with Shawn Andrews and Luc Besson and she’s just 33. She wants a private ceremony now, something she will organize becase she got married in Las Vegas twice and those weddings finished sooner than she expected. This time she wants something small, a white wedding where only her family and close friends will be invited. She probably learned that if you want to keep a family together you need to keep things private and ignore roumors and papparazis.

Barack Obama is the first black US president

The 2008 presidential elections are something that none of us will forget. Barack Obama won the election and became the first black president in US history. He won the popular vote by 6 percent and he had a huge lead at the electoral college. From 2009 a new era will start and democrats will change the way things were done in the last 8 years. In Chicago more than 200,000 people waited all night long for the final results of the election and after Obama was declared winner everyone listened a lovely speech from their new president. Probably one of the most remarcable moments of that night was Oprah Winfrey almost crying and saying:

It feels like hope won. It feels like it’s not just victory for … Barack Obama. It feels like America did the right thing. It feels like there’s a shift in consciousness. It feels like something really big and bold has happened here - like nothing ever in our lifetimes did we expect this to happen. It feels like anything is now possible.

Obama’s victory was also celebrated in many places around the world. In Kenya, everyone had a day off from work since Obama’s father was born there. In his relatives’ village they slaughtered a bull after Obama won. In Indonesia people danced in the street, russians deployed missiles to the polish border and in the middle east Hamas celebrated by launching 24 missiles into Israel. Almost everyone is thrilled that Barack became the 44th President of the US.

Madonna Calls her Ex: Emotionally Retarded

Another relationship that went bad a few years ago and the couple was faking it to look right was the one between Madonna and Guy Richie. Even though the couple broke up officially just a couple of weeks ago Madonna already started to mock her ex hubbie. She calls Guy Richie “emotionally retarted” but her ex wants to remain silent while insiders are running to all tabloids to tell sordid details about their marriage. But Madonna wanted to be the first one to start it and in front of thousands of fans in Boston this wednesday, when she was introducing “Miles Away”, a song inspired by Guy she said: “This song is for the emotionally retarded. Maybe you know some people who fall into that category. God knows I do.” The Sun had a great articles about the horseback riding accident suffered by her three years ago. She broker bones and was in a lot of pain but Guy wasn’t too attentive and sympathetic. Close friends told the Sun that from that moment their marriage was doomed.

David Duchovny and Tea Leoni were separated for months

Keeping secrets when you’re a Hollywood star is probably the hardest thing to do but David Duchovny and Tea Leoni managed to keep their marriage problems out of public eye for months. This was possible until David went into rehab for sex addiction but now there were a couple of news that the couple split up a couple of months ago. In PEOPLE magazine there was a short statement saying: “In light of continuous speculation over the lives and marriage of Tea Leoni and David Duchovny, the couple has confirmed that they have in fact been separated for several months”. They tried to hide their problems for the sake of their children. David still stars in “Californication” and also appeared in the X Files movie which wasn’t too successful this summer.

A non singer has the number one Country Album

Who imagined this could happen? We all know that Jessica Simpson is not talented at all when it comes to sing but the non singer just launched a new album that has topped the country charts. The blonde chick turned country into screechy pop tunes and her debut performance in Wisconsin was one of the most funny concerts ever. Her debut album called “Do you Know” reached the top position even though everyone, from people that heard her at concerts, album reviewers and experts were slamming her talent every day. Would knew that she could reach no 1 by selling just 65,000 copies? In Billboard Top 100 her album also ranks really well just a couple of days after her debut. It’s in the 4th place now but it could rank higher pretty soon. Jessica is at her sixth album even though she says music is just a hobby for her but this one if the first country album she made. In an interview for In Touch, she said:

I’m extremely touched by the overwhelmingly positive response to the album. There is so much honesty and raw emotion in there. And, I’m just thrilled that country fans are giving it a chance!

Papa Lohan Slams Obama

Lindsay Lohan recently offered to help out Barack Obama but the presidential candidate politely refused her help. This made papa Lohan, a guy that became a “star” thanks to her daughter’s publicity to slam Obama because he thinks Barack is disrespecting her daughter. Lindsay wanted to host a fundraiser for his campaign where she could bring a lot of underage fans but probably no one is old enough there to be able to vote. Obama’s team said no thanks because they know that Lindsay Lohan is not the high-profile star that would be positive for his campaign and these words weren’t too nice for the over-protective Papa Lohan. He dashed off an angry email directly to Obama and he defends his daughter.

Lindsay is gifted — she has a wonderful heart and she can and will affect millions of people in a very positive way. She is here to stay,” wrote the delusional father. “Obama might have eight years, and then he will be giving lectures. Who knows, maybe Lindsay will give him a part in one of her movies.

David Duchovny - a Sex Addict?

His lawyer just said that he wants respect and privacy for his wife and children because their family is great and they will deal this situation as a family. The 48 year old actor appeared in The X files - I want to believe this summer, a movie that wasn’t too successful. He is married with Tea Leoni since 1997 and they have 2 kids together. His latest show will start it’s second season in September 28.

Playback is a word that Britney knows really well because that’s what she makes at each concert. She sings the lyrics but her mic is never turned on and a lot of people don’t see any difference. They are completely amazed on how she could move like that on stage and sing in the same time but she’s not singing at all in that time. A few days ago a video was posted online with a recorded feed of her microphone during a concert and that stunned a lot of music fans worldwide. Britney can’t sing a note and now everyone’s asking if she ever had a voice or everything is fake at her? During a concert fans don’t hear her real voice because her song is being played over the speakers and she just fakes it on stage.

Jennifer Aniston’s list of ex-boyfriends is getting bigger day by day. A couple of days ago rocker John Mayer dumped her because he’s not ready to have a serious relationship with her. He can’t settle down and have kids and apparently she was a bit desperate to smother him. She wanted to start a family and since they know each other for just a couple of months he tought the best decision is to quit. A friend of John said that there was a bit of tension between them and he knew this was coming. He also said that Jen didn’t want kids or a marriage this year but she wanted to set a date for a future wedding.
